Super Duty Ember Retainer for SteelFreak Tapered and Rectangular Fireplace Grates

Expertly designed for SteelFreak tapered and rectangular fireplace grates, our Super Duty Ember Retainer provides unparalleled durability with its custom-fit and super heavy duty 1/4 inch plate construction. Thanks to the strategically placed one inch square holes, this ember retainer keeps the hot coals close to the logs for longer. This helps the firewood burn more completely while still allowing for proper airflow.

Please note that ember retainers are a *wear item*. Although ours are many times more durable than our competitors' ember retainers made from thin expanded metal, they are still designed to be replaced if and when they wear out.

These items are compatible with SteelFreak FGT and FGR model tapered and rectangular grates. If your SteelFreak tapered or rectangular grate is 14 inches deep overall, these ember retainers should fit. They will not fit SteelFreak SG model rectangular stove grates. If your grate is from a different manufacturer, please contact us before ordering.

All ember retainers over 18 inches in width will come as two separate interlocking pieces, saving upwards of $30 on shipping costs.
