Brass barometer marked compensated, sits in wooden mantel stand, no name but is heavy and has glass front, marked Taiwan on back brass plate

Brass barometer with glass front, in a wooden camel hump like mantel stand. There is no makers name or brand that I see anywhere, other than Taiwan on the back brass plate. The whole unit weighs just under 4 pounds – heavy! It's a very nice piece, and appears to be in excellent condition, and matches our wall barometer for accuracy, but would probably need to be calibrated to your altitude. I tried to get some pictures of the inner mechanism, which remind me of the inside of a mechanical clock or watch.

This looks like it could be taken off of the stand and mounted to a wall or other unit.

The base of the stand measures 13 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. The barometer measures approximately 3 inches deep x 5 1/4 across.
