Cast Studio Designs is up and running again. Back at it with a renewed passion for the craft of Knife making and more designs than ever.
I began making knives in 2015 after watching an episode of Forged in Fire. I have always dabbled in fire based art, experimenting with Raku ceramic kilns and firings. I guess it was a natural transition to get my first bar of steel up to 1800 degrees and allow my hands to form a shape.
Ever since that first blade, which turned out quite badly, I have been forming my ideas and sharpening my skills, if you will. I have since made over 500 knives, each one a lesson in design and detail as well as a part of me. I strive to make knives that are functional, sharp and also collectible. Most of the knives will come sheathed with a tactical style sheath made of Kydex, except for blades that exceed dimensions that limit functionality.
