The tealight candleholder has been painstakingly sanded with seven grits of sandpaper to obtain a smooth glassy finish and polished with an all-natural oil to maintain its rich beauty. I source the kiln dried wood locally from a shop that repurposes fallen or damaged trees; and I create each piece of home decor in my workshop.

Because my projects are made from real wood, each piece is as unique and varied as the individual trees they come from. The rings or markings are reflective of the tree's climate conditions – wider in years when the weather was warm and wet, or narrow when the season was cold and dry. Proper care will maintain its beauty for years to come. Never soak the wood or let it sit in water. Never put it in a dishwasher. Clean the wood with a damp rag and only soapy water if needed. Immediately dry it thoroughly and store in a dry place. To maintain the natural sheen and rich color, polish the wood periodically with a mineral oil. We use board oil on our products from a brand called Walrus Oil.

Aluminum cupped tea light candles are recommended, so when done burning you can easily remove the cup to refill with another. Tea lights will burn approximately 4 hours. Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
