Vintage Troyan Bulgarian Redware Drip Pattern Tea Set Gorgeous!

Beautiful, near perfect condition, this Troyan set is a tea party waiting to happen. Rich colors hand applied to each piece in a mesmerizing, peacock like pattern, the glaze brings the shine. On dark red clay, the blues, browns, oranges and ivories pop so attractively, but it's the black that brings such depth to the pattern. Each piece is a testament to the craftsmanship of these products and how the tradition is passed down to keep the master artisans in top form. Little masterpieces, each cup, saucer and teapot!
Troyan is a town in Bulgaria where many of the townspeople are centered on the production of this type of service ware. The craftspeople (early on mostly women) developed their own unique designs…all delicate and amazingly uniform in application. The red clay is a telltale of the Bulgarian pieces, and this type of pattern even more so. A lovely addition to your collection, or a delicious way to serve tea or other hot drinks to those who would appreciate fine details and craftsmanship. Just lovely!
