To use these shoe trees:
It is recommended to air out your shoes for up to an hour before inserting trees. Leave the shoes in for at least 24 hours to help shoes dry completely. If shoes are soaked from rain or otherwise wet, you will want to dry out any excess moisture first.

Insert the front (toe) part of the shoe tree first and make sure it is creating the proper shape for the shoe, then flip down the back part carefully at the heel of the shoe.

After 24 hours, shoe trees can be removed and used in another pair of shoes, or kept inside the shoes.

The important part is when to use a shoe tree, and that's within an hour after removing your shoes. Just insert a shoe tree into the shoes once you take them off, it's that simple. Your shoes are most curled-up and supple immediately after wearing. Our feet produce heat and sweat throughout the day and leather and lining will absorb that moisture.

Be advised:
Using an incorrect shoe tree can actually cause damage to a shoe.
Make sure when purchasing the shoe tree, that they are the right size for the shoes you intend to use them in, however if you intend to use them with a half sized shoe, we would recommend rounding up to the next whole size. E.g. size 8.5 shoes, should take 9 shoe trees. Our shoe trees are adjustable, so just make sure you adjust them to the correct size.
