Vintage Clay Art Catch A Falling Star Juice Set Pitcher & Matching Cup 1983 Teddy Bear Wearing Stripes Polka Dot Pajamas Breakfast Table Set-sid-27806

I just adore this sweet juice set by Clay Art San Francisco from 1983 titled Catch A Falling Star.

The lightweight ceramic set includes a whimsical little pitcher that could be used for juice or any other beverage along with a matching handled cup.

The pitcher is fairly small, measuring approximately 7 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The matching cup probably holds about four or5 ounces of liquid and is approximately 2 5/8 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter.

The pitcher is a teddy bear with its arms reaching up to catch a falling star, and the little bear wears a striped and polka dotted night shirt which matches the cup. In the bear’s pocket is a star that was evidently already caught, and the cup also has a little pocket with a star on it.

In very good to excellent preowned vintage condition, it’s free from any damage or repair. It appears that no one has ever used this set before since I can’t see any utensil scratches or issues whatsoever.

That said, this is a lightweight ceramic material, and being the klutz that I am, I would tend to use the strictly for display and ornamental purposes rather than regular use.
