Vintage 1960s Hat Black Woman’s Pillbox Hat with Bow and Netting

Hats from the 1960s and earlier were designed to be worn with the hairstyles of the day. Hair was often in an updo which gave the wearer a place to run hairpins or bobby pins through in order to keep the hat on. So although these hats seem small in size to us now they are actually one size fits all as they sit atop the head and don’t fit down on the crown.
Hat measures 7.5" in diameter, and height of crown is 3". Fabric is rayon velvet and rayon satin bow over stiffened base with nylon netting. No label, no lining. Excellent condition with no damage. True color is black.

**A note on measurements: I like to give measurements on items rather than a numerical size as I find this to be a much more precise way of determining size. If the garment I have measures the same as a garment you have, you can be assured of a good fit. If you have any questions about how I did the measuring just email! PS don't forget YOU must measure at least 1-2 inches smaller than the garment does for comfort! 🙂
