This lamp begins with a very unusual boulder of pure, Authentic Himalayan Salt that not only has a GORGEOUS color, it has such a great shape, sediment and a diagonal fissure that splits the light into an entirely different hue! A soft sunset look emanates from this beautiful piece when lit! In an effort to compliment this rare find, we chose an equally stunning piece of Red Cedar as a PEDESTAL instead of an attached wood base of stock wood. The reds, ambers and golds in the pedestal resonate the colors of the salt. Also present in the pedestal are browns and a deep chocolate, making it a piece of art on its own!

A pedestal allows you to place the crystal on top of it and move the salt crystal to display its beauty from any side. (the salt is not attached). It is honed smooth and has soft edges to serves as a contrast to the more angular salt crystal. We have form fitted a cork bottom* to the salt crystal so that as you reposition it, it won't mar the cedar. As an option, we can make a second one fitted to the bottom of the wood pedestal. This is to prevent any scratches on the surface the lamp is placed on. Use this option if intending to place the lamp on a surface more delicate than cedar wood. Email us for advice. Handcrafted from Himalayan Salt Rock Crystal deeply mined from the Khewra mine in Pakistan. This is the only mine that produces authentic Himalayan Salt. Pictures do not do this incredible piece justice. It is far more beautiful in person. It is distinctively orange, amber and a somewhat frosty appearance when not lit, making it a perfect sculptural piece at all times!

The lamp is in our 21-25lb class coming in at 23 lbs. It will cleanse a 12'×12' room. Overall, it is 12" high, 9" wide and 24" circumference. The pedestal base is 8.75"×6.5" and 2" thick. It has a UL Listed LOW EMF dimmer cord and an UPGRADED 25 watt incandescent bulb included.

Himalayan Salt has been preserved for over 250 million years by volcanic ash, tectonic activity and massive pressure. It has been tucked away from pollution and does not go through the typical refining process as commercial salt. Its vast nutrients are still intact, possessing over 80 vital minerals and trace elements that our bodies require for good health and wellness.

These amazing rocks are not only beautiful, but are hygroscopic as well, which means they draw moisture to themselves. As this occurs, the salt begins to "sweat" and as the sweat evaporates it causes negative ions to be emitted. These ions bind with positively charged ions to cleanse the air! Positively charged ions are present in pollutants, pollen, dust, allergens, smoke as well as electronically charged environments. Today, a typical home or office environment is positively charged due to artificial air systems (HVAC) and artificial lighting, electronics and lack of fresh air. Negative ions are present in active nature like waterfalls, wind through leaves and trees, rainstorms, etc. Lighting the lamp will help to expedite this process as well as help to keep the sweating to a minimum during periods of high humidity in your environment. When the included 40 watt bulb is lit, it creates a warming glow. Each turn of the lamp exhibits a different crystal formation and classic tapered shape. What a great way to have cleaner air!
*Due to the fact that Himalayan Salt can and may draw moisture, the adhesive may loosen on the back of the cork that is attached to the salt. This is not a concern as it is only there to prevent the salt for scratching the wood. Simply place it between the two and the weight of the lamp will keep it in place. This should not be considered an inherent flaw.
