PROCESS

Each piece is rolled out of wet clay and hand cut into the flower shape then pressed into the cupped flower shape. Skulls and details are hand formed and applied to the wet clay. Scoring and adding slip to wet clay creates a permanent bond between all the pieces, they essentially become one piece of clay. After bisque firing accent colors are added and a clear purple glaze is applied. The skull is left unglazed for contrast. Each dish is completely unique and one of a kind.
