This Chaplet of St. Dymphna was hand crafted using silver tone components and round 8mm glass pearl beads (white, red, and green colors). The center features a miraculous medal that is 1” tall. The St. Dymphna medal is 1” tall. The chaplet is 8 1/8” long. The chaplet comes with instructions.

This chaplet has 17 beads. The first 2 white beads are for the intentions of the Holy Father and of all Christians. The remaining 15 beads are for the 15 years of the life of St. Dymphna. The 5 red beads honor her martyrdom, the 5 white beads honor her virginity, and the 5 green beads are for the hope for healing and relief for those suffering stress, anxiety, or emotional or mental health disorders.

Saint Dymphna lived in the 7th century in Ireland. Her mother was a Christian and her father was King Damon of Oriel. After her mother died, her father wanted to marry his daughter Dymphna. To make a long story short, she fled with some others including a Father confessor to Belgium, and was beheaded at age 15 by her own father for wanting to keep her spotless virtue.

Saint Dymphna has a history of being an intercessor for miraculously healings for the mentally ill. She is the patron saint of stress, anxiety and mental health disorders.

Why pray to a patron saint for intercession? Because prayers are considered more likely to be answered by praying to the patron saint for a request that the saint is a patron of.
