The hat is beautiful designed with intricate detailing and gorgeous sparkling gold and brown sequins, sewn together with elegant metallic threads over a layer of black horse hair lace lining. The gorgeous large round gel sequins were manufactured using genuine gold, which is how they are able keep their beautiful gilded glow, though some wear is present mostly from the elements of weather during wear. This is a rare and wonderful relic of a truly unstoppable era, the hardships were astounding and yet humanity found its joy, fun and fabulousness in it. The condition of this gorgeous and rare skull cap is good, the detailing is superb in its sturdy design. There is some wear of the horse hair lining, with clumping together of the fibres, there is no lining over the inside layer of the horse hair lace, which would have had a silk lining between the lace and the head. This would be a perfect restoration piece for a skilled seamstress or someone who enjoys the art of sewing. It is strong enough to wear, but a perfect piece for a collector with a love for the incredible Gatsy era jazz dance fashion.
