Shiva Lingam stone found only in the Narmada River in India, Lingams (also called Shiva Lingams) are a variety of cryptocrystalline quartz that is oval in shape and contains earthy hues, usually two-toned. In ancient Sanskrit, Shiva Lingam means a "sign" or "symbol". These Lingams are gathered once a year in a special ceremony and then polished by hand.

In Sanskrit, Linga means a 'mark' or a symbol, which points to an inference. Thus the Shiva Linga is a symbol of Lord Shiva – a mark that reminds of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless.
