From the store

The "vermilion bamboo" is considered a symbol of good fortune and good luck. It originally refers to the vermilion bamboo that grows on Mount Yanping in China. It has been prized as a symbol of the three virtues of longevity, good fortune, and wealth.

It is an auspicious subject for painting.

Good points
-Expressed only with brush strokes, without using a frame line.
-The background is painted a light color, leaving only a small area around the vermilion bamboo unpainted. This technique makes the vermilion bamboo stand out with the small white spaces.

Bad points
-Discoloration, stains, wrinkles, and warping are noticeable throughout the piece.
-The box is a paper box.
