From my personal collection, an incredibly rare 1930s silverplated chafing dish from the historic Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
This chafing dish is actually featured on the cover of the Waldorf Cookbook (We've attached a photo and the book is for sale as well).
The 5-piece chafing dish is complete and perfect for serving. It has been professionally polished and has a gleaming bright patina. It bears the hotel's Art Deco motif.
Note: located the burner cover after our photo shoot, so you can see it in the photos!
The chafer measures 15" long including the handle and stands approx. 9-1/2" tall. The serving dish is 8-1/2" in diameter.
The piece is stamped in two places, "The Waldorf-Astoria 1931". Manufactured by International Silver Company.
Book sold separately.
A superb piece for your hotel silver collection!
