Details: The hangers are made of thick steel with a black painted finish. They are suitable for wood sashes that hang flush with the outside trim. The wood frame of the storm sash or window screen sash should have at least 1 1/4 inch of mounting space and should be at least 7/8 of an inch thick so the wood screws don't protrude through the back of the storm sash/screen frame. If your frame is less than 7/8 of an inch thick then you may need to purchase shorter screws from your local hardware store.
