This next item is quite unique and would be a wonderful addition to any Holiday Tree Decor.

We have what looks like a Mike McKinney, custom Ornament consisting of a beautiful seashell/birdhouse with turned wood top and bottom spindle. The top of the shell, a lovely shade of blue wood, which is the roof of house. The lovely shell, round in shape with little raised spines going down each side, I'm sure you've seen this type of shell before. There are dark veins that run down the sides in between these raised spines/knuckles, which look blue. On one side we have a small, round hole in the shell for bird to enter, a post adhered to the shell just below hole for bird to perch on, it just so happens there is a little bird that has already shown up for a seat, may be the homeowner. The bird is a small, maybe plastic bird, painted gray with red and blue on its chest. Below the shell is the turned wood spindle, natural in color, beautiful. At the top of house (blue roof) is a metal loop screwed into top with a clear thread looped for hanging. This ornament is truly a small work of art, natural art at that.

Measuring: 6 1/4" tall from top to end of spindle x 2 1/2" diameter @ shell. There is no mark on this item.

Mike McKinney is a wonderful North Carolina wood turner and has amazing items he handcrafts in his shop. Beautiful items !
