Midcentury Modern Valet Brush and Shoehorn Tool with Wall Mount Brass Hook Solid Wood Atomic Western Germany Set

This is a beautiful piece from Western Germany, ca. mid-1950s – mid-1960s. A solid wood tool has a valet suit brush with soft nylon bristles on one end and an integrated shoe horn on the other. The wonderfully Midcentury Modern shape rests in a custom wall mounted plaque with a solid brass hook. The wall mounting hardware has been removed by time, so you have a choice of adding your own hardware or using a Contact strip (or similar). The bristles are soft and show semi-moderate wear, and overall look very nice. You will see minimal evidence of vintage wear in some small scattered nicks and dings, but nothing glaring or fatal. The valet tool is 16" long x 2.5" wide with 1" bristles. The mounting plaque is 12.5" long x 2.75" wide, and the hook comes out 2-3/8" from the wall. The original labels are still attached. A beautiful piece for your dressing area or mud room.
