This is a good quality Mid-Century Silver Plate Sauce Boat. The sauce boat stands on three feet, has a c-shaped handle and a wavy top rim. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
There is no makers' mark on the sauce boat, so we cannot say who manufactured it, but it is stamped EPNS for British silver plate and A1 for the highest quality silver plate. It dates to around the 1950s to 1970s.
Condition is extremely good, with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss and just the overall superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The sauce boat is 15cm / 5.9ins from lip to handle, 9cm / 3.5ins across the body and stands 7.3cm / 2.9ins high. It weighs 139g / 4.9oz.
