This strainer is 12-inch long and handmade from Black Cherry. It is the little brother of the slightly larger Large Strainer Spoon. This is very well-made strainer with a very strong and easy to grip handle. It is sure to last a very long time. It is a little sturdier than a lot of the wood strainers out there.

This tool has multiple uses. For example, it can strain pasta or green beans. Canners can pluck blanched vegetables from boiling water. It will also work great to skim fat or pull meat from a kettle.

They are worked down by hand from my trees and then sanded extra smooth to 400 grit. Next, I raise the grain with water and re-sand smooth. They are then treated with food safe mineral oil, then coated with a layer of food grade beeswax/carnauba formula.
