A Lucky Wedding Sixpence – this gift for a Bride or Groom is a traditional genuine circulated British sixpence to wish the bride or groom good luck on their wedding day. For hundreds of years the tradition of gifting a sixpence to a bride on the morning of her wedding to place in her left shoe was seen as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. This tradition is now also considered a gesture of luck and prosperity for the groom.

The sixpence is presented in a ivory-cream gift box and is decorated with a traditional wax seal bearing the words 'Sixpence for your shoe'. Every wax seal is made by hand ensuring that the wax seal is as unique as the Bride or Groom.
