I think of the gap that continues to exist between the type of art that I want to create, and the work that I end up making. I’m getting closer.
I’m still not there.
I can see up ahead, a body that reflects my point of view, clearer than I ever have before, and yet it’s still blurry. With every piece, it comes more into focus.
My biggest takeaway from where I’ve fallen short, work that I’ve made that didn’t quite meet what was in my head and heart?
Loosen up.
