Closed Moss Terrarium Build Basics
What you will need:
● Terrarium with a transparent lid
● LED grow light
● Substrate (like potting soil)
● Horticultural Charcoal
● Weed Barrier (optional)
● Pebbles
● Distilled Water
● Small Spray Bottle (for misting moss)
Terrarium Build Instructions:
1. Place ½ inch layer of pebbles on the bottom of the Terrarium
2. Place a piece of weed barrier slightly larger than the size of the
Terrarium over the pebbles (optional)
3. Place a thin layer of charcoal over the weed barrier/pebbles
4. Add 1–2 inch layer of substrate
5. Add Moss
6. Water generously with distilled water
7. Place lid on Terrarium
8. Place under LED grow light for 6 to 12 hours daily.
9. Lightly mist moss with spray bottle of distilled water weekly
