Large 12" Ships Wheel Barometer in Excellent Condition – Beautifully Looked After 1960's Classic With Norwegian Text – Working Well!

(FREE Postage Worldwide) – One of the best nautical examples I've worked on, in lovely condition. It appears to be built around a good quality German movement and was designed originally for the Norwegian market, as dictated by the text on it's face:

'Regn' – means rain
'Pent' – means nice or fair
'Ustadig' – means unsettled

So very easy to read! It measures air pressure in both Millibars (940 to 1060) and mmHg (70 to 79)

To set correctly, check local air pressure online and set accordingly via the screw screw accessible from the reverse

The barometer has been fully cleaned, inside & out. The glass is in great condition, the woodwork & brass bezel have also been protected with a tough clear lacquer to protect them for years to come

I have left a previous owners hanging wire on the rear, but this is not required to hang it and can be removed if unnecessary

A very handsome example of it's type, looking for a new home!
Would make a lovely gift for a keen weather watcher or nautical fan
