This 12.5" chop plate or platter is from Iron Mountain Stoneware, made in the 1970s. The pattern is called Roan Mountain, produced by hand-dipping ceramics in various glazes so that each piece is unique.
In very good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a few light scratches from utensil use.
Iron Mountain workers made the hand-formed plates, and glazed them according the designs of company founder, Nancy Patterson Lamb. She was one of the first to make and market handcrafted stoneware dinnerware.
