These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with very rare genuine Roman Emperor Claudius II Gothicus antoninianus copper coins dating from 268-270 AD, over 1,750 years old! The pair of cufflinks are made from two genuine solid copper antoninianus coins showing both the obverse (Emperor's head) and reverse (Jupiter) of the coins. Emperor Claudius II Gothicus only reigned for 2 years and died at around the age of 56. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 20 mm in diameter.

These are totally unique cufflinks and represent a unique part of classic Roman history and the copper antoninianus coins have been very carefully cleaned to retain the original patina and character of the coins which are over 1750 years old, whilst highlighting in copper the beautiful details of these rare very original coins.

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of Roman history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
