Heat Resistant Bumpers that are each 7/8" diameter help keep you lid from getting scratched. We offer many thicknesses and quantities.

Can be stuck to the bottom of your lid to reduce scratches between the lid and the pit. Be sure to select a thick enough bumper to keep the lid and pit from contacting each other. Especially important when in use with a rough, stone pit.

Bumpers are made of heat resistant, semi-clear silicone with a peel-n-stick adhesive backing.

Bumper silicone temperature capabilities are -80 to 450 degrees F.
Adhesive temperature capabilities are -100 to 500 degrees F.

If the pit or lid are outside of the rated temperatures, damage can occur to the bumper, lid and potentially the pit.

Adhesive backing is made to hold the bumper on the lid. The adhesive only resists compressive loads. If a shear load is applied to the bumper and lids, the bumper can rip off. A shear load on the bumpers can be caused by trying to slide the lid while it is sitting on the bumpers.

PAINT AND DAMAGE CLAUSE
Bumpers can help to stop scratches that can occur between the lid and the pit. No guarantee is made that neither will get scratched. If a bumper is pulled off, paint may be damaged. Paint should be repaired to keep rust from forming. BUMPERS WILL NOT LAST FOREVER. Inspect regularly and replace as necessary. The lid must be properly maintained or rust can occur. Be careful when placing the lid onto the pit to not scratch it. Do not put lid on pit if gas source is on. Remove lid prior to igniting flames or turning gas source on.
