This product is handmade by Lorena and Velazco Family.
In Santa María Atzompa, located 15 minutes from the center of Oaxaca, is recognized for its green clay as well as its figures elaborated in the "Pastillaje technique" or also known as Filigrana in clay. This technique is made by molding hand figures and then placing clay threads on the piece to decorate with leaves and flowers also made of mud. For this technique two types of mud are mixed, the traditional Santa Maria Atzompa Clay and the red clay of Donají.

IMPORTANT:
– Remember, this product is entirely handmade, hand painted, and cooked in a wood oven, as a result, each piece isn’t perfect and is unique. It may have imperfections, such as cracks on it and in the red clay paint, that don’t affect its function.
