This listing was a 100% custom request from scratch. We wanted something with a little character and something different, this is the finished product! Highly figured walnut is GORGEOUS paired with a live edge base!

I am showcasing the listing for a few reasons. Firstly, a live edge base for a flag display case is very unique, I have not seen many out there like that. Secondly, I offer unique, one of kind collaboration with you, as you can see with this product.

To highlight this listing at hand, I used figured walnut. It has very unique and contrasting spalting lines from heartwood to sapwood. Two cherry splines were added to each corner to add a nice detail. My client wanted something elevated but simple. My solution was to use four 5/8" cherry dowels as a pedestal to elevate to case from the base. Gives it a nice contrast. The base is a solid piece of 7/8" walnut, with similar figures and a live edge on the face. Solid piece of 3/16" glass was cut to fit. The final finish was Rubio Monocoat Pure.

I am not highlights any variations in the listing. Few points to mention. If you purchase this listing, there will be variations, especially with the walnut. I can't guarantee to find figured walnut as detailed as this item. *If you have a flag, please measure and have dimensions. Most should be the same but want to account for any variance. The inside dimensions of the flag in the listing were 11" tall at the center, and 22" long. Most should be within the same dimensions.
