Fun 30s Brown Wool Felt and Waffle Weave Cotton Cloche Styled Hat, Size 21.5

This is a really fun 30s brown wool felt cloche-style hat. It is a bit more of a combo style as it has a short brim that is turned up on the left side and tapers in at the back. There is a little felt band around the hat on the left side that has little tails that poke up off the brim. A very Art Deco detail. The hat has a cream waffle weave diagonal panel that wraps around the base of the crown. The crown is fitted to the head and has a tag on the black sweatband for ADJ and on the felt there is a marking for Merrimac Hat Corp. 100% wool and made in the U.S.A. It was mostly likely meant to be worn to the front and side of the head. You can wear it however you prefer, that is what was popular at the time. Hats can also often work for different eras as some styles were popular for more than one and were just tilted differently.

The hat is in good condition with no flaws to note.
