This pattern was introduced in the 1940's with pieces added through the 50's.
It is known as a raised relief pattern.
Gladding, McBean & Co. based in Los Angeles California started production of the Franciscan Earthenware Line in 1934 which includes several patterns. Franciscan ceramics production was halted in 1962.
