These color-coded fondue forks are unusual in that they have 3 tines or prongs each, which is really effective in ensuring your food stays on the fork (as opposed to falling into the fondue pot of melted cheese or chocolate). Made in Germany, probably in the 1960s or 1970s, they are stainless steel (as marked on the shafts), and probably rosewood*. Each has a different color on the end (photo 4): black, green, yellow, turquoise, white, red.
*please note that most vintage fondue forks are sold online as being made of teak, and some are, but most fondue forks are actually rosewood.
These forks measure approximately 10 inches in length.
The condition of these forks is like-new. They have been stored for 50 years so the plastic cover of the box is a little dingy. The heads of the forks have very minor spots etc that really do not look like signs of wear (to me), they look like signs of storage. I don't have any stainless steel cleaner but I suspect it would clean them almost perfectly.
Please examine the photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
FYI: Regular ground shipping (cheapest option) within Canada is called 'EXPEDITED'.
I SHIP AT COST: whatever the item costs to ship from Ontario, Canada is what I charge my customers. I do not profit from shipping. I also refund postage overages for multiple items shipped together.
REMEMBER TO SAVE: When you purchase 4 separate listings from my shop you save 40% off the current price of all 4. Promo Code: SAVE40PERCENTWITH4 …and no, I don't know if you get 40% off a fifth item or more…try it and see 🙂
SHIPPING: Sometimes, not until the VERY LAST checkout page can you SCROLL DOWN and see ALL the (less expensive) shipping options. ALL shipping options do NOT always appear on the first page of the checkout…even though it looks like they do.
Customers please note: If you choose to have your purchase shipped WITHOUT TRACKING (not an option on every listing), and it is lost in the mail…you will have to open an ETSY CASE in order to potentially receive reimbursement for your loss. A tracked shipment gives both buyer and seller peace of mind. Shipments are rarely lost, but tracked packages get lost in transit MUCH less often than untracked. Canada Post provides shipment serial numbers for ALL packages, even untracked ones…so, as a seller, I can always prove I shipped an order.
Please contact me with any questions prior to purchase 🙂
