Exceptional 1950s embellished blue cashmere cardigan with a lovely floral motif by Thelma Revelle. The soft cashmere cardigan was hand embellished with appliquéd embroidered flowers, beautiful hand sewn beading, faux pearls and aurora borealis rhinestones. The faceted blue crystal beads dangle from the sweater and the glass seed beads and faceted bugle beads shimmer in the light. So charming! The beading and appliqués have a wonderful three dimensional quality. The buttons are also aurora borealis rhinestones. The rhinestones and the faceted glass beads really shine and catch the light. When this Maurice Handler cashmere cardigan was decorated, the sleeves were shortened so that they are 3/4 length and the sweater was hemmed so that it is a short 1950s cropped length. A very rare and extraordinary sweater that would be great for a collector.

I estimate that this sweater is a size extra small to small, but please use the measurements to ensure a proper fit. It's best to measure a sweater that fits you for comparison. The sweater was measured while flat on a table, buttoned and unstretched.
Armpit to armpit is 18".
Across the hem from side to side is 13".
Length from the shoulder is 18.5".
Sleeve from shoulder is 17".
