This striking necklace is such a find.
The pendant is an original vintage pill box, or snuff container, Of Cloisonné featuring, on both sides a curly dragon flying amongst clouds against sky blue enamel, repurposed here into a locket pendant that is 40mm tall and 25mm at its widest, opens and closes shut perfectly and effortlessly, and dangles from a gold tone herringbone rope chain that is 24" long that fastens at the front via a Albert chain swivel dog clasp, with a good weight to it. All in fantastic vintage condition, only very slightly oxidised by time.
Perfect to wear on it's own, or to layer with other necklaces.
