This modern cornice board pelmet box with your choice of nailhead trim can be used alone or as a finishing touch to your curtains or other window treatment. The modern clean lines and nail head trim in this beautiful window cornice will add texture and visual interest to any room, transforming your drab space into a fab space. The storm gray color will soften your window and instantly create a dramatic impact in your room. We use only top quality hard wood and quality padding in all of the cornices we make, as well as professional upholstery techniques, to ensure you will enjoy your new cornice for years to come! Every cornice has a special concealed dust board on the inside that is used for mounting the cornice to the wall. Your cornices come with all the necessary mounting hardware. All you need is a screwdriver (with a long extension), measuring tape and a pencil to install your new cornice (instructions for installation are included with every order).

♥ This listing is for the pictured cornice with an 10" face width. It is available in 8" or 12" face widths. We are also happy to create custom cornices in any width you would like. Just send us a convo to get started!

♥ You choose the length of the cornice side returns (distance from the wall to the cornice face) based on your needs. You can choose from 4" or 7" returns. (No additional charge for this) Please see our recommendations below for which return length may be right for you.

*** The standard 4" return is suitable for mounting your cornice over blinds or shades, especially if they are inside window mounted.

*** Order the 7" return if you are mounting your cornice over curtain drapery or outside mount window treatments.

How to measure your window for a cornice board valance:

1) Measure the entire width of your window INCLUDING the surrounding trim (AKA: frame, molding, casing). See diagram in photos above.

2) Add 6" Total to the above measurement if you will be adding curtains or other drapery. (This will allow 3" on each side of the inside cornice for curtain hardware etc.)

OR

Add 3" total to the above measurement if you are NOT using drapery that requires additional window hardware.

4) Choose your total calculated width from steps 1 & 2 from the drop down menu at checkout. The measurement you choose will represent the inside length of the opening in the back of the cornice.

5) Choose your color from the swatches shown in picture 2 above. Type your color of choice in the comment section when placing your order.

6) Choose antique brass or silver nail head trim. Type your choice in the comment section when placing your order.

ORDER FABRIC SWATCHES: We make every effort possible to ensure that the colors represented are as accurate as possible. However, all monitor colors are different. We recommend that you order swatches of the fabrics that you are interested in before placing your order to verify colors. Order your swatches here:

**Widths above a certain size will have two seams in the front of the cornice close to the sides (A close look at the 1st photo shows how this seam appears). Every effort is made to make sure the fabric pattern matches up well and the seam is very subtle.
