California State Stencil is reusable and washable semi-transparent plastic stencils (mylar). Pattern is available in 4 sizes to choose from – Small 12"x13" (30cmx33cm), Medium 15.5"x17.5" (40cm×44cm), Large 19.5"x21.5" (50cm×55cm), XLarge 23.5"x26" (60cm×66cm). Stencils can be used many number of times so you can easily cover even the largest surfaces with any composition of patterns and colors. Perfect for use on walls, floors, fabric or furniture.

How to Stencil

Use masking tape to keep the stencil in place on the wall.
Then use either a small dense foam roller or stencil brush to apply the paint.
Basic stencil instructions are included with each purchase.
For best results use adhesive on the reverse or tape on the corners of the stencil prior to use.

We find that it is not necessary to use spray adhesive with our stencils. However, if you want crisper edges or are stenciling with high contrasting colors, please use it. It is helpful for beginners to mist a stencil with spray adhesive just to make sure you get great results. Always use pieces of blue painters tape to secure your stencil in place.

Clean-up tip: Spray the stencil with Simple Green to help to remove adhesive residue and let it sit for a while before cleaning with soap and water. Please note that it is virtually impossible to get rid of all adhesive residue. That's why we personally prefer not to use it and just stick with painter's tape.
