Add a heavy duty, UL approved medium base (E26) bulb socket to your Steampunk or industrial lighting project with this exclusive, high quality part. An industrial grade black malleable iron fitting houses a permanently mounted E26 (medium base) socket rated for up to 250V/660W. Available in a straight coupling fitting, or a 90º reducing elbow fitting – with 1/2", 3/4", or 1" mount size. Color-coded, 16AWG wire leads are available in standard length (6"), or extra long (18") lengths. Even longer lead lengths available through custom order. Leads are pre-countertwisted, so when the fittings are threaded on, the wires won't be stressed.

The threaded collar allows you to easily add a bulb cage, harp saddle, or shade that has a standard 1-9/16" (40mm) diameter hole, or a clamp-on cage as shown in the photos. Please note that some harp saddles, cages, or shades may have a slightly smaller 1-7/16" (36.5mm) opening, which might need to be filed down a bit to fit this socket. A shade retention ring is included. This listing is for the bulb socket with retention ring, iron fitting, and lead wires only – any other bulbs, pipes, fittings, shades, cages, or lamp parts you see are for demonstration only and are not included.

A NOTE ON SHIPPING COSTS:
These socket assemblies are heavy; and the weight of each varies depending on the fitting. Shoppy unfortunately doesn't have a way for sellers to specify a specific weight for each variation, so they often overestimate the shipping cost – in which case, I will refund any significant overages. Most Domestic orders usually don't exceed a final shipping cost of around $15 to $25, so don't panic if you see a very high shipping cost – I promise I will help you out whenever I can.

¹The socket itself is rated as "weatherproof" – but the iron fitting (although cleaned before this part is made) that it's in is not coated or treated in any way, and is therefore subject to rusting if it's exposed to excess water or moisture. Recommended for indoor use only.
