Antique/Vintage Deco Style Two Part Brown Porcelain Lamp/Light Socket.. Ceramic Lamp Part—Rare Deco. Style Light Fitting

This two part light socket comes straight out of the 1920’s-30’s. The bottom part is porcelain with a brown glaze. To make jt decorative, its maker embellished it with a raised saw-tooth design around its base, giving it a Deco look. It’s conical shaped. It has a slit on each side towards the base to accommodate wiring. It’s bottom has two mounting holes, and 4 other holes for wiring.(I assume). The 2nd piece screws into the top of the base. Its top is brown, faceted plastic. When the top is in place, the unit measures 3” tall. The base has a 2” diameter. I don’t know the exact application of this piece. I can’t guarantee that it is still serviceable . It presents beautifully without scuffs or cracks. I’m certain that it is rare, as I have never seen another quite like it. A beautiful piece from the deco era which could simply sit on a shelf or desk in an office or man cave. It’s a collectible ditty for an electrician or any collector of vintage electrical parts
