Antique electric sandwich griddle

Do Not plug this in.. Selling this for decor, or for restoration only. It comes with the cord shown with it. I don't think the cord is original to it but it is what I got it with. This did not heat up when i plugged it in to try it. I tried it with a new cord and it still didnt heat up.. I can see the wires connected at the old ceramic insulating block where the electric cord plugs into the iron. They look very old and oxidized, may simply need cleaned and re attached.. I didnt ohm thru any heating elements or open it up.. I briefly looked at it, didnt see a manufacture. I thought it might be edison when I acquired it but I have no idea after looking closer at it.. Old American or Canadian made iron, definitely not common! probably early dept store type.. Use the photos and zoom in, buy it for decor or for restoration only.. Do not use it as is.. I was brave to try it, this has old cloth insulated wire running inside the metal spring to the upper element.. There are a few ways this could short out, better know what you are doing. Know the one hand rule of electricity and use a GFI circuit, attach a ground wire to the frame if you restore it! I only checked to see if it was shorted, that doesnt mean it won't be when it goes thru shipping or from you moving it around, I have no idea what the internal wiring looks like and you shouldnt mess with powering it up unless you know what you are doing..
