Antique Cabinet Card #1 Photo Men Women Gathering State Hats Band Uniforms JCB Insignia 1890s-early 1900s No Writing

Vintage Victorian or early Edwardian cabinet photo of a group of young men and women wearing various state and other hats. The gathering is posing in the woods. Some of the men are wearing uniforms (band?) with wreath insignias on their caps that also have initials that look like JCB. Some women are wearing odd hats with state names on them (Texas, Mass, Indiana, Ill.). The man seated on the right is holding an umbrella. One gentlemanly fellow is holding a fan for his lady friend.

The card is 4-¼” X 6-½”. The black edges of the cardboard have some edge wear. Two corners have light creases which do not affect the image. Under magnification I see some really tiny black specks scattered around which are not noticeable without the magnifier. The tree trunk on the right of the image has a small bit of paper or something stuck to it or possibly a surface scrape (less than ¼” triangle)

Note! I have two of the same cabinet card, both found in a pile of paper from an estate sale. This one has a black back with no writing. The other one (same exact photo) has a light gray back with writing that says “Compliments of L. N. Rutherford). Conditions vary slightly. This listing is for the one without writing.
