1980s Adjustable Knife Block: Vintage Crown Corning Fashion Plastics in Brilliant Red RARE NIB NOS Original Packaging

This line of kitchenware by Crown Corning Glassworks, called 'Fashion Plastics' was a product of the 1980s. In 1986 I had a kitchen with red accents and I remember it well, if not fondly lol. This knife block came in 6 fashion colors, as you can see by the original box. This particular one is bright red. The plastic slot cover is black. Everything is plastic except for the metal arm that folds out to adjust the position of the knife block from upright to slanted. So it is a somewhat lightweight knife block compared to the usual solid wood block. These fashion plastics from Corning are quite rare, particularly the knife blocks.

Like-new condition. Unused. Shallow surface scratches presumably from the item being taken out of the box…and re-inserted multiple times over the last 35 years. Knives not included in sale.

This knife block measures approximately 10 1/2 inches by 5 1/8 inches by 3 7/8 inches.

A tracked shipment gives both buyer and seller peace of mind. Shipments are rarely lost, but tracked packages get lost in transit MUCH less often than untracked. Canada Post provides shipment serial numbers for ALL packages, even untracked ones…so, as a seller, I can always prove I shipped an order.
