🍖 HOW TO USE THE POT FOR THE FIRST TIME: It is extremely important to prep your unglazed earthenware products before any use.
1. Soak the earthenware completely in water for at least 24 hours. Rinse and let air dry it completely before initial use. This gives the dish extra strength and durability.
2. Grease it with vegetable oil from inside and outside, then put it in the oven at a medium temperature for 15 – 20 minutes.
3. Let it cool and then wash it.
4. It is now ready to use
🍖 We recommend using warm water while cleaning and not cleaning with a dishwasher.
🍖 "Chalky" or white deposits is common it all clay products. It is harmless. Just use a soft brush or cloth to remove the efflorescence from the surface of the clay product.
🍖 NOT A FAULT – As these pots are individually thrown by hand, some aesthetic variations in size, colour and shape are to be expected.

🍖 DON’T –
1. Don’t use harsh detergents, since clay is porous and this might absorb the chemicals that will be hazardous to health, in stead you may use baking soda for difficult stains.
2. Don’t add hot water when it is cold or vice versa for fear of cracking.
3. When serving don’t place the pot on a cold surface such as marble or a granite worktop but rather place it on a wooden board to avoid cracking.
