Vintage Linen Placemats Madeira 2 Dinner Organdy Leaf Off White Perfect Fancy Wedding Pair

A gorgeous pair of vintage Madeira linen placemats, in white with organdy inserts, for your most special occasions.

These are very high-quality table linens. The linen is very fine and the items feature exquisite hand stitching. The two placemats measure about 19 inches by about 13 inches. The design is of appliquéd and embroidered leaves and tiny flowers; the handwork is concentrated in one corner with smaller motifs at the opposite corner. The organdy is sheer and the placemats would look beautiful over a colored tablecloth. The work is all by expert hand, and the detail is extraordinary.

Truly heirloom quality; these are delicate and should be treated with care.

Fine-weight linen, in very good condition; no evidence of having been used. Clean linens, from a non-smoking home. Not starched.

Please keep in mind that this item is vintage and we love it, in part, because of its age, history and patina. I feel that beauty is enhanced by the fact that they have been used and loved and they don't look brand new.
