Feels as soft as a cloud!…. A pretty cover-up for a toddler girl, this sweet poncho is lacy and airy, and so soft! It features bands of knitted lace, a button closure at the neck, and buttons at each side which help form sleeve openings rather than the garment hanging only off the shoulders. Fastened with wooden buttons that say "Little Angel".
This garment can be used over a long period… initially as a poncho but as your child grows it can become a pullover top.
Knitted by me in a non smoking household, using a 65% Merino, 25% Alpaca, 10% Microfibre yarn that has a soft halo and is non scratchy. It should be hand washed and dried flat. I dunked it in a basin of cool water + washing detergent, rinsed, squeezed in a towel and dried it flat on a dry towel. It's easy to do as it's lightweight, and dries very quickly too.
I've washed all my baby knits before offering them for sale, so they come to you clean and fresh and ready to wear, or to gift.
This is sized to fit a baby of about 12 tp 18 months. It should fit for a good while as the child grows! I recommend if possible you compare the following finished measurements to something that fits the baby, bearing in mind this is designed to be a loose fit:
Finished garment circumference just below "sleeves" – 59 cm
Length from top of shoulder – 32 cm
