An original, hand printed wet cyanotype of Gerbera on Hahnemühle Platinum Rag using nature's finest with a little help from the sunshine. The print is finished with gold leaf to add texture and make it shine.
Each cyanotype print sold is a unique, original, artwork handmade by Blue Lumiere in my home studio and garden in Wiltshire, England. The prints are NOT giclée, or digital prints. Where possible I try to use natural, recycled, or repurposed materials to help limit environmental impact.
The print is supplied fully mounted with a matching loose backboard, all ready to finish in a frame of your choice. Frame is not included. Each mount is pH neutral and meets the Fine Art Guilds approval for standard mount board. All mounts are Snow White in colour unless otherwise stated.

The Cyanotype Process
The cyanotype process uses a photosensitive solution which, when exposed to UV light, reacts to create a Prussian blue colour typical of traditional cyanotypes. Flowers, leaves and other objects create a resist that block the sun and leave a photo image. Different hues and tones can be created using a wet process method while the photographic solution is still drying. The result of both the traditional and wet process methods, is a completely unique, and rather beautiful, cyanotype art print.
Please note: It is intended that all images give a good representation of the original artwork, but colours may vary depending on the device used.
