This vintage brass and copper coal scuttle or ash bin has a rustic distressed charm. It can be used as a decoration near a fireplace or perhaps as a planter. The handle is ceramic and the brass lions’ heads on the sides are welded in place with copper. The scuttle has been lightly polished but enough of the patina is in place to add to a country or farmhouse décor.

Size: 8.5” tall with handle up, About 8” wide ceramic handle to spout, 4” across the base ( 21.5 cm high with handle up, 20.4 cm wide ceramic handle to spout, 10 cm across the base ).

Condition: Sound construction. The back handle moves a little but is firmly welded in place. Be aware that the top handle goes down and it a little stiff to move but when up, it stays up.

Lightly polished. The copper will age to a darker patina over time. Rustic. Vintage. It appears that sections of the copper have been welded together ( See picture of the back view of the pot )
