For your consideration is a nun habit veil set. This is what Byzantine Catholic Sisters wore before 1964.
Comes with under cap, whimple, pectoral Byzantine crucifix and black veil with 3 black beaded pins.
Every effort has been made to make this as close to an original habit, though some variations do occur. Please consider this habit fits different on a mannequin than living person.

LAUNDERING

WASHING: Cold water, gentle cycle machine wash. Use mild soap like Woolite, avoid heavy-duty stain remover detergents. Fabric softeners are okay.
DRYING: Hang-dry, avoid electric dryers.
IRONING: Use medium-hot steam iron.
*If your veil set has Velcro veil tabs, iron as instructed about but do NOT iron over the small Velcro tabs as the tabs will melt.

GENERAL TERMINOLOGY:
VEIL: 1 ½ or 2 yards of rectangular or semicircular piece of black or white, broadcloth or gauze fabric pinned to the bandeau or undercap reaching about 12” below the fingers on either side.
COIF: A piece of cotton, cotton polyester blend, linen fabric extending from the top of the head to lower neck with the center cut out and fastened with ties or safety pins.
WIMPLE: A square, rectangular, or oval, cotton, cotton polyester blend, linen fabric extending from back of the neck with the center cut out and fastened with ties or safety pins.
BANDEAU: A soft, or stiffened with an insert or starch piece of linen or heavy white fabric compassing ¾ the forehead and fastened with ties in the back.
TUNIC: A robe or dress, gathered, pleated or unpleated, extending from the lower neck to the ankle with sleeves extending 8” downward and cuffed and folded back.
CINCTURE: A black, white or leather cord or belt fastened round the waist to shorten the tunic. May or may not have knots representing chastity, charity, and poverty.
UNDERCAP: A soft cotton, cotton blend or linen fabric compassing ¾ the forehead and fastened with ties in the back protecting the rest of the headdress from human sweat and body or hair oils.
