These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Royal Scots Fusiliers Regiment officers' buttons (Queen Victoria) from the era of the 1890's, around 125 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two officer’s Royal Scots Fusiliers buttons. The 21st Regiment of Foot was raised in Scotland in 1678 and went on to become the Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1881. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are made using smaller pocket buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of history and the brass buttons have been very carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are around 125 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these very rare original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of Scottish and Victorian history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
