Preowned vintage; GUC with flaws. The clasp to close the door is missing the front piece. I currently have it closed with a rubber band, but it could be beautiful and unique tied with a piece of ribbon! When unsecured the door hangs slightly off, but when secured it hangs as it should. There are a few areas where the wicker has broken or frayed as expected for age and use of the piece, and on one side there is a very light mist of white paint- all shown in photos.

These wicker pet carriers/ transport carriers became very popular in France in the 1940s. It became a fashionable way to travel with cats or dogs. The unique feature of this carrier is its size! Many of these carriers were quite small, allowing only very small animals. This carrier is 16.5” L with a 13.5” x 12” opening, large enough for your huskiest cat and small dogs to fit comfortably without being squished. There are 2 wrapped handles on top. There is a woven diamond on each side to add visual interest.
