These seed bombs are made with a single species of milkweed per bomb. This allows for more specific garden plantings. Native to most the the US this collection of seed bombs are sure to turn your yard in to a Monarch Butterfly Habitat.
The milkweed species included in this collections are, Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) 5 ct, Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) 4 ct, and Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) 3 ct, which are larval host species of the Monarch Butterfly and vital to their survival. These wildflowers native to most of the US will also attract other butterflies, bees and even humming birds.
Simply toss these "Milkweed Seed Bombs" into a prepared flowerbed, an existing wildflower meadow or even a vacant lot in your neighborhood.
The clay protects the seeds from birds and other animals that might eat them, while the compost gives the seeds a little boost for germination.
Best time to sow is October – February, some wildflowers take up to 2 years to germinate and bloom. Most seeds are perennials.
